Ceramic traditional braces are the treatment of choice for complex adult cases. These are small ceramic squares that are glued to your teeth then using wires and regular adjustments the teeth are slowly moved to the correct position. We only use the best ceramic brackets, these will look almost clear on your teeth. Average treatment will take 18-24 months

  • How do I go about getting my teeth straightened?

Call us or email to book a free consultation

Our initial consultation is free of charge.

At East Coast Orthodontics an initial visit is a full orthodontic consultation.  We will take photos of your teeth then do a full examination before sitting down with you to discuss our treatment recommendations, timescales and give you a quote.

  • I want to get my treatment started - what next?

The next step will be to go and get x-rays taken, we will give you all the information for this at your initial consultation.

The x-ray clinic will email your x-rays to us and once Dr. Griffin has reviewed them and all is dentally well we will contact you to make an appointment to have the braces put on

  • How long does it take to put the braces on and is it sore?

The appointment to put the braces will be 1hour and 15mins. Putting the braces on only takes 30/40mins but there will be some consent forms to sign and a full run through of how to care for the braces.

Getting braces on is not sore just uncomfortable but there will be some soreness later on that day and the next. (advice on this will be given on the day).

We will then expect to see you every 6-8weeks until treatment is complete.
